Everyone is up early this morning and we leave around 8:00 to head back to Pennsylvania. Dave and Brett will fly to Paris this evening. It is 36 degrees this morning. Greg and Gwynne again share the driving, with plenty of traffic.
We make good time, with only a few slowdowns and enjoy some nice fall colors along the way. Much faster than if we were in the Trek. Thanks, Gwynne!
We decide to go directly to Garden Spot and visit with Mom and share our Iceland adventures. Arrive there around 2:30. Gwynne takes care of flowers, inside and out and we share photos. Around 4:45 we go to an early dinner. Mom is still bruised from her fall but determined to get around and remain in assisted living. Go Mom!
We head back to Gwynne's and do a quick unloading and re-packing into the Trek for Greg and Beth. Gwynne discovers that she has moved up on the waiting list for GS, and we discuss staging her home to sell, what to take, what to do with various items, etc. You never know with the waiting list - could be months or years! Her friend Peggy has been #1 on her list for a while!
The Trek fared well while we were gone and we are all set to leave tomorrow morning. Thanks to neighbor Bob for keeping an eye on things! Gwynne has errands tomorrow and then will head back to work on Wednesday.
