We slept well in Skylar's comfortable old bedroom. Nice hot shower too!
A local deer visited this morning with her little fawn. She (they named her Linda after a character in a funny video) is a regular and Sandy says sometimes she jumps the fence and hangs out in the back yard when she needs a break from motherhood (after hiding her baby somewhere nearby). She is not tame, but allows us to take pictures before wandering off.
  Sandy and Paul are having a barbecue today and Paul starts the smoker early for some tasty ribs and other goodies. Sandy and I do deviled eggs, cole slaw and corn-on-the-cob. Skylar and her boyfriend Matthew come, Parker comes but his other half Julia has had a bad allergic reaction to a sting and stayed home. Sandy's Mom Sue and her husband John come. I lived with Sue briefly when she was married to Chap back in PA, so we have lots to chat about. We follow each on Facebook, so are somewhat familiar with the grandkids and all.   |

Parker, 25, works as a carpenter with a construction company and is an avid outdoorsman who recently killed a bear. Skylar, 23, is a recent Colorado college grad and is working with a lawyer here and taking paralegal classes. Paul works for the county and Sandy is with a state-wide construction/architectural company. Tomorrow will be back to work for all of them, and back on the road for us.
