Tues. Jan 29 Tucson/Benson AZ

January 29, Onward to Benson

We continue down 95, to 72 and then back onto I-10.  Lots of desert, desert and more desert.

Our theme song should be "life in the slow lane",  as our gas mileage suffers badly at  speeds over 62-64mph.  Greg passes about three vehicles all day (in 75mph zones).

We finally reach Tucson and stop at an LA Fitness there for a workout and showers before continuing on to Tom and Sue's house in Benson. 342 miles today and we arrive about 4:15.

Tom & Sue have more trees and plants than last time we were here 2 years ago.  They are nursing some small apple trees and have sage and other plants.  Lots of birds at their bird feeder and they say they have deer and javelina coming by at night in the wash behind their yard.

It is great to catch up with Tom & Sue.  Chap and Mam arrive home about 7:00 and we all enjoy dinner and conversation.  Chap says he and his partner bought all new cases and towers for their booth at the Gem Show and could use some help putting things together and getting setup tomorrow, so that's the plan. The show opens on Thursday.

We will continue to sleep in the Trek since when Anita and Kevin arrive, all the beds will be taken in the house.  We are plugged in and quite comfortable in the street in front of their house.  Not much traffic at all.
